Had a very pleasant walk on this long and pebbly beach. It shelves quite steeply down to the water's edge. It's backed by red sandstone cliffs and is part of the Jurassic Coast. I found the pebbles fascinating because of their varied sizes and colours but also not very easy to walk on. Was glad of my sturdy shoes! Both the beach and sea looked very clean. There are cabins, a beach café where you can get light snacks, and free toilets close by.

Fabulous place to go for a walk. One can walk to Exmouth and be back in less than 4 hours. The whole walk was relaxing and the fabulous scenery.

Really nice pebble beach with clear waters and some more jurassic scenery, there's a path all the way down the coast to where the shops are too. Parking is available at a charge though. Its perfect for a stop on the way down to Cornwall.

A very nice stroll along the pebble beach, lots of different things to see (eat too), and toilets available . Dogs not allowed from May to September (although we did see a couple around the beach).

We had the gentlest and most restorative of long weekends here staying at a fabulous B&B which came with a beach hut!! Beautiful walks. Great cafes along the beach front with crab sandwiches (locally caught - the crabs that is!). Pebble beach has an excellent swimming area. So many gorgeous pebbles (more like stones as large - so easier to walk on than a pebble beach usually is). Toilets with soap, water and loo roll and a shower along the sea front too. Highly recommended!

Great beach for paddle boarding and the ease of access from the main car park. Loads of spaces are so much room to pump up your boards before going to the beach. A nice cafe nearby selling pasties, drinks etc. Dog friendly near the car park. A ten minute walk into the main high street if need be. Great place

a pebble beach. I arrived there on a day when the sea was a brick color and with spectacular waves. it's nice to take a walk, look at the sea and listen to the waves. it's relaxing.

Grat place, the beach is part sand part pebble and part fairly big rocks, but as its one end of the jurassic coast its only to be expected. Also the estuary of the river is a wetland with loads of wildlife and good access. Lovely cafes as well.
